This mapper will help you locate boat launches and other points of interest to for small boat recreation throughout the state of Rhode Island. To get started, click anywhere on the map to zoom in on that area. To zoom out use the zoom control to the left of the map. Once you have zoomed in, boat launches and other points of interest will show up on the map as clickable red icons (see the key below the map). Click on an icon to get more information about that location. If you prefer to search by criteria or simply look up a site by name, try the boat launch search page. If you have a high-speed Internet connection (e.g., DSL or Cable), you may want to try our Google-based mapping system which also includes sites in the Narragansett Bay Watershed in Massachusetts.

The location you clicked on is a site for launching boats from trailers. Boat ramps can normally be used to launch canoes and kayaks but please do your best to keep the boat ramp clear for boat trailers.

Site Name: Tiogue Lake - North Glen Drive

Town: Coventry

Driving Landmarks: From I-95 north take Exit 7 for Coventry/West Warwick and go left at the end of the ramp. From I-95 south take Exit 7 for West Warwick and go right at the end of the ramp.

This will put you on New London Turnpike heading northeast. Go 0.3 miles and turn left onto Arnold Road. Go 1/2 mile north on Arnold Road and turn right onto Crestwood Drive. Go one block and bear left onto North Glen Drive. The boat ramp is just ahead at the end of the road.

Comments & Overview:This cement plank boat ramp is tucked into a residential area at the south end of Tiogue Lake.
There is limited parking here. The site is in a dense, residential neighborhood so please respect the local residents when parking and using this boat ramp. Tiogue Lake is a 226 acre reservoir with various bays and coves to explore but also a large open area 1/2 mile wide by almost a mile long. The shoreline is largely lined with houses. Tiogue Lake is stocked with trout several times during the spring.

Quiet area surrounded by trees and calm water. Parking is limited. Area needs litter cleaned up. Tiogue Lake is stocked with trout several times during the spring.
